Distracting Elements

Original Picture

With the original photo I set it up so that the baseball was in the center of the picture. However I also took it so that the bottle of water and the pencil holder were distractions since they were each on the sides of the baseball and really distract those who are viewing the picture. I also took it at a lower angle as a distraction so that it would take away from the baseball and more at the awkward low angle of the photo.

With my edited photo I cropped out the sides as well as the bottom to really put the baseball in the center of the photo. It helped to take away the distraction of the extra items as well as the awkward angle of the photo so that it really focused in on the baseball. I also added a levels adjustment layer in order to enhance the colors on the baseball. The mask I applied for the adjustment layer focused in on just the baseball and did not change the levels on the background of the photo as to not take away from the enhancement of the baseball.
