Swatches
For this blog post I decided that the best picture for me to use would be something that I see almost everyday. I decided to take a picture from my room of the walkway outside of my dorm, which I thought had a variety of colors and shades that I could choose from.
After taking this picture I had to decide what colors I wanted to focus in on. I decided to focus in on the trees, the grass, and the bricks. I felt that the dark brown of the trees would contrast very well against the light green of the grass on the right side of the picture. I also felt that they would both contrast well with the dusty red color of the bricks on the paths as well.

With the three versions of the nameplates, I feel that some contrasted much better than others. For example, I feel the first one makes both text types very easy to read while the others have some text that is harder to read. With the last one, it shows a poor example of contrast because the red and brown ended up being too similar to each other. Overall however I feel that the colors worked well to contrast against each other and it was a really fun experience to try out.
