Audio Effects

Intro

While looking and experimenting with different types of audio effects, I found it very interesting to see how the effects changed the audio. It helped me to see what improvements could be made to my audio with these effects and made for a very enjoyable time experimenting with the effects in different locations in my audio.

Reverb

One of the effects I found to be the most interesting was reverb. Reverb made the audio sound a lot richer and made it sound like the room I was in was much bigger than it was because it made it sound like it echoed around me. I chose to look into Reverb more because I felt like it could help me within my audio at multiple different points. One way I feel it can help me is to make it sound like I am in much bigger places during certain points in my PSA. I think it could work to give off the effect that I am somewhere that I'm really not and can also help to enhance my audio.

Delay Effect

In a similar way to reverb, I felt like the delay tool could help me to make it sound like I'm in locations that I am not around campus. With the delay tool it can help to make a slight echo or a chorus effect depending on how long a delay I make. I feel like this could help me within my project by enhancing the audio with a chorus or by giving off a echo effect like I could with reverb. I think either way I could use this in my project could really help to give off a cool effect to better enhance my audio. 

Compressors

The final effect that really got me interested was the different types of compressors. The compressors let you work with the different frequency bands. With this in mind, I think it could help me to work with the audio to give it a richer nicer sound. I think this could help me at specific points in the audio where my voice gets either louder or softer and could also help me to make a much richer audio experience. Overall, they could help me to fix inconsistency in my voice volume that I have found, which would help it to sound better in the project.
